Speaks & Associates Miscellaneous: Adjourn: Approved 10/19/17 Prattville Planning Commission September 26, 2017 Minutes (Special Meeting) Page 1 of 2 CITY OF PRATTVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING September 26, 2017 Call to order: Chairman Tim Smith called the special meeting to order at 2:58 p.m. Roll Call: The secretary called the roll. Members present were Mayor Bill Gillespie, Councilman Richard Cables, Chairman Tim Smith, Vice-Chairman Reuben Gardner, Chief Dallis Johnson, and Mr. Mark Hindman. Absent: Mrs. Paula Carpenter, Mr. Roy McAuley, and Mr. Bobby Nelson. (Quorum present) Staff present: Mr. Joel Duke, City Planner and Ms. Alisa Morgan, Secretary. Minutes: None Old Business: There was no old business for discussion. New Business: 1. Preliminary Plat: Michael A. Thompson 1-A Location: 136 & 138 West Main Street Owners: Michael A. Thompson Representative: Jeffcoat Engineers & Surveyors, LLC Mr. Duke presented the preliminary plat of Michael A. Thompson 1-A. He stated that the item was held at the previous regular meeting (9/21). He stated that the petitioner is requesting to add recently acquired property to the EEDA LTD plat, combining three lots into one single lot. After no further comments, the vote was called. The motion to approve passed unanimously. 2. Final Plat: Michael A. Thompson 1-A Location: 136 & 138 West Main Street Owners: Michael A. Thompson Representative: Jeffcoat Engineers & Surveyors, LLC Chief Johnson introduced a resolution recommending approval of the final plat of Michael A. Thompson 1-A and moved for its approval. Mr. Gardner seconded the motion. After no further comments, the vote was called. The motion to approve passed unanimously. 3. Preliminary Plat: South Industrial Park Plat 1 Location: County Road 4 Owners: City of Prattville Representative: Larry E. Speaks & Associates Approved 10/19/17 Prattville Planning Commission September 26, 2017 Minutes (Special Meeting) Page 2 of 2 Mr. Duke presented the preliminary plat of South Industrial Park Plat 1. He stated that the item was held at the previous regular meeting (9/21). He stated that the proposed plat will provide three new streets with the primary street connecting U.S. Highway 82 and County Road 4. He also stated that the streets, potable water, drainage, and sanitary sewer facilities will be completed in the next year with assistance from the federal and state agencies and the Autauga County Commission. He stated that the staff recommends approval. After no further comments, the vote was called. The motion to approve passed unanimously. 4. Final Plat: South Industrial Park Plat 1 Location: County Road 4 Owners: City of Prattville Representative: Larry E. Speaks & Associates Mr. Gardner introduced a resolution recommending approval of the final plat of South Industrial Park Plat 1 and moved for its approval. Mr. Hindman seconded the motion. After no further comments, the vote was called. The motion to approve passed unanimously.
