PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
TUESDAY, MAY 7, 2019
6:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, May 7, 2019
at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Striplin called the meeting
to order. Roll was called and all councilors were present.
1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Various Weeded Lots Abated per Title 11,
Chapter 67 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as Amended. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes)
Loyd Bittle, 1403 Morningview Drive, Prattville, owns the property at 536 W. 4th Street and listed
in this resolution. Mr. Bittle asked if his property at 530 W. 4th Street was included in this
resolution, and if it was he asked that it be removed. Mr. Bittle explained that he had been
working with Code Enforcement to rectify any issues at this address. Council President Striplin
added that Mr. Bittle told him previously that this property is a vacant lot and adjacent to a rental
property. The tenants of that rental property had dumped items onto Mr. Bittle’s vacant lot,
causing a code violation.

There being no further comments, Council President Striplin closed the Public Hearing at 6:04
p.m.
