PH Minutes 2018-10-02 PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2018 6:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Striplin called the meeting to order. Roll was called and all were recorded as being present. 1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Various Weeded Lots Abated per Title 11, Chapter 67 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as Amended. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes) No one was present to speak for or in opposition of the resolution. 2. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located at Highway 82, Highway 31 and McQueen Smith Road (Parcel 5-A) from FAR (Forest Agricultural, Recreation) to R-3 (Single Family Residential) (Petitioner HD & D Land Company). (Sponsored By: Councilor Boone) HELD FROM SEPTEMBER 4, 2018 ORDINANCE BOOK 2018, PAGE 013 Derril Strickland, with Goodwyn Mills and Cawood, Inc. informed the Council that the property that they are requesting to be rezoned is approximately 92 acres and lies west of McQueen Smith Road and backs up to the Scenic Hills subdivision. No one was present to speak in opposition of the ordinance. 3. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located at Highway 82, Highway 31 and McQueen Smith Road (Parcel 2-A) from FAR (Forest, Agricultural, Recreation) and B-2 (General Business) to R-3 (Single Family Residential) (Petitioner: HD & D Land Company). (Sponsored By: Councilor Boone) HELD FROM SEPTEMBER 4, 2018 ORDINANCE BOOK 2018, PAGE 014 Derril Strickland, with Goodwyn Mills and Cawood, Inc. informed the Council that the property that they are requesting to be rezoned is approximately 38 acres. Councilor Starnes asked if any the property was in Elmore County and Mr. Strickland responded that it was all in Autauga County. No one was present to speak in opposition of the ordinance. 4. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located at Highway 82, Highway 31 and McQueen Smith Road (Parcel 2-B) from FAR (Forest, Agricultural, Recreation) to B-2 (General Business) (Petitioner: HD & D Land Company). (Sponsored By: Councilor Boone) HELD FROM SEPTEMBER 4, 2018 ORDINANCE BOOK 2018, PAGE 015 Derril Strickland, with Goodwyn Mills and Cawood, Inc. informed the Council that the property that they are requesting to be rezoned is approximately 5.8 acres and is located on the corner of McQueen Smith Road and Hwy. 82. Access will be off of McQueen Smith Road, as access is denied off of Hwy. 82. No one was present to speak in opposition of the ordinance.
