PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA
PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2017
6:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, October 17,
2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Striplin called the
meeting to order. Roll was called and all were recorded as being present.
1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Various Weeded Lots Abated per Title 11,
Chapter 67 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as Amended. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes)
No one was present to speak for or in opposition of the Resolution.
2. Appeal by Vijay Patel Regarding Dilapidated Structures Located at 1249 S. Memorial Drive.
Mr. Vijay Patel addressed the Council regarding dilapidated trailers located at 1249 S. Memorial
Drive. Mr. Patel requested a time extension in order to deal with the dilapidated trailers. Mr.
Patel explained that they have a plan of action and have obtained two demolition estimates,
but forty-five days does not allow them enough time to complete the project. They are currently
waiting on the utility companies and on two additional demolition estimates. Mr. Patel requested
that the Council take this matter under advisement.

There being no further comments, Council President Striplin closed the Public Hearing at 6:03
p.m.
