BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Prattville, Alabama, as follows: 9

THAT the zoning ordinance of the City of Prattville, Alabama adopted on February 10, 11
12
1950, subsequently amended from time to time, and the zoning map adopted on the 1st day 13
14
of May, 1987, are hereby amended to reclassify the property described in Attachment “A”; 15
16
and 17
18
THAT this proposed ordinance and a synopsis was advertised for two (2) weeks in the 19
20
Prattville Progress, a newspaper of general circulation within the city limits of the City of 21
22
Prattville, and that the City Council of the City of Prattville, at its Public Hearing on the 3rd 23
24
day of December, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., considered said proposed ordinance and that at such 25
26
time and place all persons who desired had an opportunity to be heard in favor of or in 27
28
opposition to such ordinance. 29

ALL other items and provisions of the zoning ordinance of the City of Prattville not 31
32
herein specifically amended shall remain in full force and effect. 33

THE amendments herein contained were considered and recommended by the City of 35
36
Prattville Planning Commission on October 17, 2019. 37

THIS ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and execution as provided 39

WHEREAS, American Legion W. Clyde Northington Post #122 holds a Club Liquor 9

Class I ABC License at their current location at 498 Doster Road; and 11
12
WHEREAS, American Legion W. Clyde Northington Post #122 desires to transfer said 13
14
license to a new location at 475 E. Main Street; and 15
16
WHEREAS, renovations to the facility located at 475 E. Main Street are estimated to 17
18
take up to a period of two years; and 19
20
WHEREAS, a public hearing was set by Resolution Book 2019-A, Page 166 and held 21
22
December 3, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. and that at such time and place all persons who desired had 23
24
an opportunity to be heard in favor of or in opposition to said license transfer. 25
26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Prattville 27
28
hereby approves the transfer of said Club Liquor Class I ABC License for the American 29
30
Legion W. Clyde Northington Post #122 to the proposed new location at 475 E. Main Street 31
32
within a two-year period from the date of this Resolution. 33
