RESOLUTION
[To Name Voting Delegate and Alternates for the Annual Business Session during the 2020 Alabama League of Municipalities’ Convention in Tuscaloosa.] {Sponsored By: Council President Striplin}
WHEREAS, the Annual Convention of the Alabama League of Municipalities will be held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on May 16-19, 2020; and
WHEREAS, each member city is entitled to designate one voting delegate, and
first and second alternate voting delegates, to represent their city; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Prattville to name its delegates to ensure its
voting participation at the Annual Business Session, which will be held on May 18, 2020 at 2:30 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Prattville that the following are hereby designated as the voting delegate and first and second alternates for the City of Prattville:

[To Appoint Dr. Tom Miller to the Industrial Development Board.] {Sponsored By: Councilor Boone}
WHEREAS, a vacancy currently exists on the Industrial Development Board; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Prattville City Council to fill said vacancy to ensure the continuity of the Board’s operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Prattville that Dr. Tom Miller is hereby appointed to fill said vacancy effective immediately and said term shall
expire on February 17, 2025, or until his successor is duly qualified and appointed.

RESOLUTION
[To Declare the Structure Located at 111 Isom Street to Be Unsafe and a Public Nuisance.] {Sponsored By: Councilor Jackson}
WHEREAS, under the authority of Title 11, Chapter 53B of the Code of Alabama,
1975, as amended, on August 15, 2019 the City of Prattville Chief Building Official declared the structure at 111 Isom Street to be an unsafe structure; and
WHEREAS, on December 30, 2019 the City of Prattville Code Enforcement Officer sent notice ordering the repair or demolition of the structure at 111 Isom Street within 45 days
of said notice; and
WHEREAS, said notice was delivered by certified mail in accordance with §11-53B-3, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, Title 11, Chapter 53B allows the property owner or other interested parties to file an appeal within thirty (30) days of the date of notice with the City Clerk
requesting a hearing before the City Council; and WHEREAS, no hearing was requested within thirty (30) days of the date of notice; and
WHEREAS, §11-53B-4, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, authorizes the City Council to determine whether or not the building or structure is unsafe to the extent that it is
a public nuisance after the expiration of 30 days from the date of said notice; and
WHEREAS, no repairs have been made to the structure located at 111 Isom Street and the structure remains unsafe and a public nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Prattville that the structure located at 111 Isom Street continues to be unsafe and a public nuisance
that must be repaired or demolished. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council instructs the Code Enforcement Officer to provide a report of the cost to repair or demolish the structure located at
111 Isom Street to the Council. ADOPTED THIS 17TH DAY OF MARCH, 2020.

WHEREAS, RAM Prattville Hospitality, LLC d/b/a Tru by Hilton Prattville has applied for a Retail Beer (On or Off Premises) and a Table Wine (On or Off Premises) License for
a business to be located at 2633 Legends Drive, Prattville, Alabama 36066, which is a hotel;
and WHEREAS, a public hearing was set by Resolution Book 2020, Page 024 and held
March 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. and that at such time and place all persons who desired had an opportunity to be heard in favor of or in opposition to such resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Prattville hereby approves the issuance of a Retail Beer (On or Off Premises) and a Table Wine (On or Off Premises) License for the business located at 2633 Legends Drive, Prattville,
Alabama 36066, to RAM Prattville Hospitality, LLC d/b/a Tru by Hilton Prattville ADOPTED THIS 17TH DAY OF MARCH, 2020.
