PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES TUESDAY, JULY 21, 2020 6:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, July 21, 2020
at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Striplin called the meeting
to order. Roll was called and Councilor Starnes was recorded as being absent.
1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Various Weeded Lots Abated per Title 11,
Chapter 67 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as Amended. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes) Sandra Posey, 215 Durden Road, spoke regarding the lot beside the house located at 156 Durden Road. The property is overgrown with weeds and bushes. The house is covered with
trees and shrubs to the point that only the roof is showing from the road. Ms. Posey stated that
she has to call the City once or twice a year to have the lot cut. Council President Striplin noted that this public hearing is to consider specific properties that have been listed and that 156 Durden Road is included on that list.
ADJOURN: There being no further comments, Council President Striplin closed the Public Hearing at 6:02 p.m.
