of others by demonstrating reliability.

discussion, the minutes were adopted (7-0). COMMENTS FROM PERSONS PRESENT REGARDING TONIGHT’S AGENDA: None
MAYOR’S REPORT: Mayor Gillespie asked for everyone to please be weather aware over the next 36 hours as
inclement weather is approaching. Our Hometown Team, city employees, have proven
themselves time and time again. Even though with Zeta and Sally, we had meniscal impact
except for our public utility partners that were not as fortunate, but we were prepared then as
we are now. Don’t forget our Public Safety Building is always open as a safer place for our
community during these type of events. He also shared that today marked 1378 days since
the joint announcement that James Hardie would be building a fiber cement manufacturing
plant in the City of Prattville. And, today the first shipment of the #1 Siding Brand in North
America left the Prattville Plant. He was honored to join the county, state, and my fellow
councilors in this momentous occasion with James Hardie. They are still actively hiring for
this plant, and we look forward to a long and prosperous partnership. Also, with the approval
of the resolution this evening, not only will it be a benefit to this investor and partner, but to
our community. He looks forward to sharing more details in the weeks to come. On a closing
note, our citizens are a blessing to this community, but I don’t think we can every say thank
you enough to our dedicated hardworking employees.
