There was an increase in gross taxes of $392,838.79 or 29.10%.
There was a decrease in gross taxes w/o the sales tax increase of $38,872.37 or 2.88%.
There was an increase in net taxes (with the rebates taken out) of $387,814.64 or 30.04%.
There was a decrease in net taxes (with the rebates taken out) w/o the sales tax increase of $39,788.71
or 3.08%.
The account that saw the greatest decrease was Lodging Tax (‐22,802.76) and Rental Tax (‐7,793.34).
This month the sales tax increase generated an additional $431,711.16.
Thus far the sales tax increase has generated an additional $2,702,288.97.
In that same time (less one month as the transfers to the debt service reserve account are made one
month in arrears) the City has paid $3,198,233.47 towards Debt Service. Multiple bond payments, in the
amount of $2.9 million, were paid on November 1st. That installment paid off the GO 2006 Warrant. A
Debt Service Reserve account has been established and is being funded with the proceeds from the
sales tax increase.
