PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2023
6:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 6, 2023,
at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Roll was called with all Councilors recorded
as present with the exception of Councilor Gornto. Council President Boone declared a quorum
and called the meeting to order.
1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Overgrown Grass and Weeds at 411
Hallmark Drive Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances.
{Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik)
Robert Hicks, 411 Hallmark Drive, reported the property was cut and the Sanitation Department
was paid to have trash and rubbish picked up. Council President Boone advised that although
the property was abated by the owner, the City must follow through on the completion of the
abatement process.
2. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Stagnant Water and Overgrown Grass and
Weeds at 120 Beth Manor Drive Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code
of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik}
There was no one present to speak in favor of or opposition to the resolution.
3. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located Inside the Corporate Limits at the Northwest
Corner of McQueen Smith Road and Major Avenue from B-2 (General Business) and R-3
(Single Family Residential) to B-2 (General Business) (Petitioner: Webb Builders, Inc.) (Owner:
HD&D Land Company). {Sponsored By: Councilor Gornto}
FIRST INTRODUCED MAY 2, 2023
Harold Hale, representing Webb Builders, Inc., reported he was in attendance to answer any
questions regarding the rezoning request.
ADJOURN: Council President Boone closed the Public Hearings at 6:03 p.m.
