PH Minutes 2023.07.111 PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES TUESDAY, JULY 11, 2023 6:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Roll was called with all Councilors recorded as present with the exception of Councilors Jackson and Gornto. Council President Boone declared a quorum and called the meeting to order. At 6:02 p.m., Councilor Jackson entered the Council Chambers and took his seat at the dais. 1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Overgrown Grass and Weeds at 220 Brookhaven Drive, 830 Cottage Lane, 909 Running Brook Drive, 106 Fireside Loop, 217 Woodvale Road, 628 Shadow Lane, 118 Shelia Boulevard, 1039 Gipson Street, 221 Rosemary Lane and 206 Rosemary Lane Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} There was no one present to speak in favor of or in opposition to the resolution. 2. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Garbage and Rubbish and Overgrown Grass and Weeds at 202 Rosemary Lane Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} There was no one present to speak in favor of or in opposition to the resolution. 3. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Garbage and Rubbish and Overgrown Grass and Weeds at 209 Caroline Drive Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} There was no one present to speak in favor of or in opposition to the resolution. 4. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Garbage and Rubbish and Overgrown Grass and Weeds at 229 Camellia Drive Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} Chad Nichols, 229 Camellia Drive, reported an update to the progress of said nuisances. Council President Boone advised Mr. Nichols to contact Code Enforcement regarding his progress and reiterated that City procedures would continue to be followed. 5. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Garbage and Rubbish and Overgrown Grass and Weeds at 809 Cottage Lane Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} There was no one present to speak in favor of or in opposition to the resolution. 2 6. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Garbage and Rubbish at 604 Shadow Lane Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} Brandon Fisher, 604 Shadow Lane, reported an update to the progress of said nuisances. Council President Boone advised Mr. Fisher to contact Code Enforcement regarding his progress and reiterated that City procedures would continue to be followed. 7. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Garbage and Rubbish at 850 Gillespie Street Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} There was no one present to speak in favor of or in opposition to the resolution. 8. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Garbage and Rubbish and Overgrown Grass and Weeds at 417 Bedford Terrace Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} There was no one present to speak in favor of or in opposition to the resolution. 9. To Authorize the Mayor to have Garbage and Rubbish, Stagnant Water and Overgrown Grass and Weeds at 606 Shadow Lane Abated Pursuant to Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances. {Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Strichik} Kenneth Klaves, 606 Shadow Lane, reported an update to the progress of said nuisances. Additionally, he stated that he did have a plan in place to address the stagnant water. Council President Boone advised Mr. Klaves to contact Code Enforcement regarding his progress and plans and reiterated that City procedures would continue to be followed.
