WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Prattville declared in Resolution Book 2024 - 10
11
B, Page 230, on September 17, 2024, that the abundance of overgrown grass and weeds at 12
13
1676 S. Memorial Drive, 449 Dawson Street, 1780 E. Main Street, and 711 Doster Road 14
15
constituted a public nuisance and set a Public Hearing on said nuisance; and 16
17
WHEREAS, the Autauga County tax records list the property owner(s) as follows: 18
19
• 1676 S. Memorial Drive – West Robin & Compton Sara, with an address of 593 20
Partridge Lane, Prattville, AL, 36067, to Parcel Number 19 07 25 2 000 002.001 21
• 449 Dawson Street – Patrick Morace c/o Steve Patrick or Ashley Odom, with an 22
address of 1686 Tom Turner Road, Billingsley, AL, 36006, to Parcel Number 19 03 07 23

• 1780 E. Main Street – Khatri Family Trust Pramiila Khatri, with an address of 19710 25
Michaels Court, Castro Valley, CA, 94546, to Parcel Number 19 06 14 1 001 001.004 26
• 711 Doster Road – Mendez Sasha, with an address of 335 Summerhill Road, Prattville, 27
AL, 36067, to Parcel Number 19 05 16 3 001 001.001; and 28

WHEREAS, notice was provided to correct, remedy or remove overgrown grass and 30
31
weeds; and 32

WHEREAS, the owner(s) of said properties have failed and/or refused to correct, 34
35
remedy or remove said nuisances by the expiration of said notices; and 36
37
WHEREAS, the owner of the property located 1780 E. Main Street did file a written 38
39
objections with the City Clerk’s Office within five days of the Public Hearing; and 40
41
WHEREAS, the owner(s) of other said properties did not file written objections with the 42
43
City Clerk’s Office within the time prescribed by City of Prattville Code of Ordinances, Section 44
45
46-114 (c); and 46
47
WHEREAS, the City Council held the required Public Hearing at 6:00 p.m. on October 48
49
15, 2024, permitting the owner of said property to present evidence, objections and protest 50
51
regarding said nuisance; and 52
53
WHEREAS, Chapter 46 et seq., City of Prattville Code of Ordinances, authorizes the 54
55
City to do such work or make such improvements that are necessary to correct, remedy or 56
57
remove such conditions, pay therefore and charge the expenses incurred to the owner of such 58
59
property. 60

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Prattville 62
63
declares that the overgrown grass and weeds at 1676 S. Memorial Drive, 449 Dawson Street, 64
1780 E. Main Street, and 711 Doster Road continued to be a public nuisance at the expiration 1

of the notice of violation. 3

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall have the overgrown grass and weeds 5
6
at said property removed using City forces or private contractors. The property owner shall 7
8
have the right to remove said nuisance at their expense provided that the removal is done prior 9
10
to the commencement of work by employees or agents of the City of Prattville; however, this 11
12
does not abolish incurred fines and expenses. 13
14
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Mayor shall keep an accounting of all costs related 15
16
to this request and report such costs to the City Council following its abatement. 17
18
