Sherrill, Petitioners Public Hearing Miscellaneous: Adjourn: CITY OF PRATTVILLE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES March 23, 2017 Call to order: The regular meeting of the Prattville Historic Preservation Commission was called to order on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 4:32 p.m. Roll Call: The secretary called the roll. Members present were Chairman Thea Langley,Vice-Chairman Gray Price, Mr. Will Barrett,Ms. Lenore Kirkpatrick, and Mr. Larry Smith.Members Absent:Mrs. Jean Davis and Mrs. Kate Musgrove. Quorum present Also present was Mr. Joel Duke, City Planner and Ms.Alisa Morgan, Secretary. Minutes: Mr. Barrett moved to approve the minutes of the January 26, 2017 meeting.Mr. Price seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Old Business: None New Business: Certificate of Appropriateness Demolition & Rebuild of existing addition 319 South Washington Street Lisa & James T. Sherrill, Petitioners Mr. Duke introduced the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to allow a demolition of an addition and to rebuild a new addition at 319 South Washington Street.He stated that the addition that is in review is not in character with the house and is recommended for demolition. He stated that after reviewing the application submitted, the exterior appearance of the proposed addition was not provided therefore a staff recommendation could not be given at this time. Lisa Sherrill, petitioner,stated that they are requesting to demolish the existing addition because it is inhabitable. She stated that she has contacted her designer and she will be able to provide the exterior designs by Friday. There were no public comments. Chair Langley stated that it would be more advantageous to hold a special meeting to allow the petitioner time to submit all required documents and have a complete staff review for the commission. She tabled acting on the request and proposed a special meeting for April 6, 2017.
