MINUTES
June 20, 2013
Call to order:
Chairman Reuben Gardner called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Roll Call:
The secretary called the roll.Present:Mayor Bill Gillespie,Councilman Ray Boles,Chairman
Reuben Gardner,Vice-Chairman Roy McAuley,Mrs. Paula Carpenter,Mr. Gene Hall,and Mr.
Bobby Nelson. Absent:Chief Dallis Johnson,and Mr. Tim Smith.
(Quorum present)
Staff present:Mr.Joel Duke,City Planner and Ms.Alisa Morgan, Secretary.
Minutes:
Mr.McAuley moved to approve the minutes of the May 16, 2013 meeting.Mr.Nelson seconded
the motion. The motion to approve passed unanimously.

1.Final Plat:The Oaks of Buena Vista Plat 3-B
Cotton Blossom Way
Owner: The Oaks of Buena Vista, LLC
Engineer/Representative: Larry Speaks & Associates
Mr. McAuley introduced a resolution recommending approval of the final plat of The Oaks of
Buena Vista Plat 3-B and moved for its approval. Mayor Gillespie seconded the motion.
Greg Gillian of Larry Speaks & Associates, petitioner’s representative, presented the final plat of
The Oaks of Buena Vista Plat 3-B.He stated that everything was in order. He stated that the rear
of some of the lots was excavated to build up the road in Plat 3A. He stated that the portion of lots
that were excavated and deemed unbuildable were marked and shown on the plat.
Mr. Duke provided the staff report. He stated that the front building line was moved to 20’ to
correspond with zoning and to allow for additional unusable space. He stated that the 20’setback
meets the zoning requirements,but not the building line shown on the original subdivision plat.
The motion to approve passed unanimously.
