PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL
TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2018
6:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, August 7,
2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Pro Tempore Brown
called the meeting to order. Roll was called and Council President Striplin, Councilor Starnes
and Councilor Boone were recorded as being absent.
Councilor Starnes entered the Chambers and took his seat at 6:01 p.m.
1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Various Weeded Lots Abated per Title 11,
Chapter 67 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as Amended. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes)
No one was present to speak for or in opposition of the Resolution.
2. ORDINANCE: To Adopt a Proposed Amendment to the City of Prattville Code of Ordinances,
Appendix A. Zoning, Article 7-District Requirements, Sections 71, 72, 73, and 76. (Sponsored
By: Councilor Cables)

Marriane Dillard, 1822 Jenny Drive asked that the Council vote in favor of this Ordinance.
No one was present to speak in opposition of the Ordinance.
3. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located at Hwy. 82 East at McQueen Smith Road from
PUD (Planned Unit Development) to R-3 (Single Family Residential)
(Petitioner: DHS Holdings-4, Inc.) (Sponsored By: Councilor Cables)
Petitioner Has Requested Withdrawal
HELD FROM 7/3/2018
Council President Pro Tempore Brown announced that this item was held from July 3, 2018
and that the Council has since received notice from the petitioner that the request has been
withdrawn. Council President Brown read the petitioner’s letter which has been made part of
the official record.
ADJOURN:
There being no further comments, Council President Pro Tempore Brown closed the Public
Hearing at 6:05 p.m.
