PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA
PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL
TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2018
6:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, April 3, 2018
at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Striplin called the meeting
to order. Roll was called and all were recorded as being present.
1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Various Weeded Lots Abated per Title 11,
Chapter 67 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as Amended. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes)
No one was present to speak for or in opposition of the Resolution.
2. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located at the West End of Sydney Drive South and
South of Glennbrooke 5 from R-2, Single Family Residential to R-3, Single Family Residential.
(Sponsored By: Council President Pro Tempore Brown)
HELD FROM MARCH 6, 2018
Blake Rice, of Barrett-Simpson, Inc., spoke in favor of this item. A request to rezone this
property was brought before the Council a few months ago. At that time Mr. Rice informed
the Council that amendments would need to be made to that request if they planned on
moving forward on it. It was determined that the request should go back before the Planning
Commission for amendments, then an updated request could be brought before the Council.
Mr. Rice did take the request back before the Planning Commission and they did give a
favorable recommendation for Item #2.

There being no further comments, Council President Striplin closed the Public Hearing at 6:03
p.m.
