PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA

CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, September
6, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Wood called the
meeting to order. Roll was called and all were recorded as being present.
1. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to have Various Weeded Lots Abated per Title 11,
Chapter 67 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as Amended. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes)

Queenie Ezell, 270 Easy Street, passed out the letter that she sent to her Councilor and the
Mayor. The letter addressed her concerns about weeded lot on Easy Street.
Council President Wood explained to Mrs. Ezell that the weeded lot at 239 Easy Street is on
the regular agenda for tonight and that the process to have it cleared has been started.
The partial owner of the weeded lot at 239 Easy Street, who lives at 106 Winchester Court,
informed the Council that she will have the lot cleared before the end of the week.
Ethel Stoudemire, 249 Easy Street also expressed her concerns about the weeded lot located
at 239 Easy Street, as well.
2. RESOLUTION: To Grant a Restaurant Retail Liquor License to Lataste, LLC d/b/a
Lataste Vietnamese Cuisine. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes)

3. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located at 1145 East Main Street from R-2 (Single
Family Residential) to O-1 (Office District). (Sponsored By: Councilor Boles)

Bo Evans, 129 Cedar Drive, explained that the property listed in this Ordinance is the building
located next to his existing business. He purchased the building to expand his business and
allow for additional parking. He asked for the Council’s support on the item.
4. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located at Glennbrooke Subdivision from R-5 (Patio
Garden Homes) to R-3 (Single Family Residential). (Sponsored By: Councilor Brown)
