PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2014
6:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, May 20,
2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Wood called the
meeting to order. Roll was called and Councilor Chambliss was recorded as being absent.
1. RESOLUTION: To Declare Various Weeded Lots to be a Public Nuisance and Ordering
Their Abatement per Title 11, Chapter 67 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as Amended
(Sponsored By: Councilor Chambliss)
No one was present to speak for or against this Resolution.
2. Appeal By Karen Golson Regarding Dilapidated Structure Located at 923
Wilberforce.
Ms. Golson requested additional time to repair or tear down the house located at 923
Wilberforce Avenue for financial reasons. Council President Wood noted that Ms. Golson had
acknowledged in the request for an appeal that the house is an eyesore to the neighborhood.
Council President Wood requested that Ms. Golson speak with Code Enforcement Officer Carl
Wilson. With the Council’s approval, Council President Wood requested that Ms. Golson be
allowed an extension until the end of the year with progress being made along the way.
3. Appeal by Neva Rudolph Regarding Dilapidated Structure Located at 419 E 6th
Street.
No one was present to speak for or against this Appeal.
ADJOURN:
There being no further comment, Council President Wood closed the Public Hearing at 6:04
p.m.
