PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2014
6:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, February
18, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Wood called
the meeting to order. Roll was called and Councilor Chambliss was reported as being absent.
AGENDA
1. ORDINANCE: To Rezone Property Located at 2497 Cobbs Ford Road from FAR to B-2.
(Sponsored By: Councilor Chambliss)
No one was present to speak for or against the Ordinance. City Planner Joel Duke explained
that the .85 acre property is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Cobbs Ford
Road and Bass Pro Blvd. The previous use for the property was a service and gas station. The
property was annexed in the early 1980s as FAR and the non-conforming use was allowed to
continue until the property was no longer occupied. The rezoning request is necessary for the
proposed business use. The Planning Commission has recommended the rezoning.
2. RESOLUTION: To Grant a Restaurant Retail Liquor License, to Mathew Ellis and
Frederick Montgomery of Chipotle Mexican Grill. (Sponsored By: Councilor Starnes)
The General Manager of Chipolte Mexican Grill spoke in favor of the Restaurant Retail Liquor
license. No one was present to speak against the license.
3. RESOLUTION: To Grant a Retail Beer (On or Off Premises) and Retail Wine (On or Off
Premises) License, to Courtney Hicks and Stephanie Nixon of Queen Meats and Wine, LLC.

No one was present to speak for or against the license.

There being no further comment, Council President Wood closed the Public Hearing at 6:06
p.m.
