WHEREAS, in Resolution Book 2020, Page 042, on April 3, 2020, the City Council of 8
9
the City of Prattville established a Public Safety Curfew due to the Pandemic Emergency 10
11
created by COVID-19, to be effective April 4, 2020 for the hours between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 12
13
a.m.; and 14

WHEREAS, the City of Prattville identified the need to amend said curfew in 16
17
conjunction with amendments to the Order of the State Health Officer and Proclamations 18
19
from Governor Ivey, including the reopening of restaurants and other similar establishments. 20
21
WHEREAS, in Resolution Book 2020, Page 062, on May 19, 2020, the City Council 22
23
amended said curfew to the hours between midnight and 5:00 a.m.; and 24
25
WHEREAS, effective May 22, 2020, Governor Ivey and the State Health Officer further 26
27
amended guidelines under the Amended Safer at Home order; and 28
29
WHEREAS, the City of Prattville has identified the need to lift the Public Safety 30
31
Curfew due to COVID-19 in conjunction with the Amended Safer at Home order. 32
33
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of 34
35
Prattville that the Public Safety Curfew as established due to the COVID-19 Pandemic is 36
37
hereby lifted effective upon the adoption of this resolution. 38
