WHEREAS, the General Election for the City of Prattville was duly and legally held 7 8 on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, as provided by law; and 9 10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Prattville met on September 1, 2020 at 11
12 11:00 a.m., with a quorum thereof being present, and canvassed the returns, and has 13 14 ascertained and determined the number of votes received by each candidate; and 15 16
WHEREAS, the said municipal governing body has ascertained and determined the 17 18 result of said Election as follows: 19 20 [SEE ATTACHED TABULATION SHEET] 21
22 NOW, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of 23 24 Prattville, Alabama as follows: 25 26
That Bill Gillespie, Jr. received a majority of the votes cast for the office of Mayor 27 and is hereby declared duly elected to that office for the term beginning on the first 28 Monday in November, 2020. 29 30 That Albert Striplin received a majority of the votes cast for the office of 31
Councilmember District No. 1 and is hereby declared duly elected to that office for 32 the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2020. 33 34 That John Chambers received a majority of the votes cast for the office of 35 Councilmember District No. 3 and is hereby declared duly elected to that office for 36
the term beginning the first Monday in November, 2020. 37 38 That Blair Gornto received a majority of the votes cast for the office of 39 Councilmember District No. 5 and is hereby declared duly elected to that office for 40 the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2020. 41
42 That Robert E. Strichik received a majority of the votes cast for the office of 43 Councilmember District No. 6 and is hereby declared duly elected to that office for 44 the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2020. 45 46
