He shared the City of Prattville is hosting “Yardi Gras” this year. Lights and decorations are on display in Historic Downtown Prattville now through February 16th. We hope citizens and businesses will decorate their storefronts, homes, and yards to celebrate the Mardi Gras season. They need to register their business or home to be included on the route by February 10th, and don’t forget to enter the “Best of Yardi Gras” contest. He shared the Governor will be delivering the State of the State Address this evening. He is currently waiting on the preliminary auditing numbers for the City, and then will be providing the State of the City shortly afterwards. He reminded the Councilors the Rubicon moment is quickly approaching to make the decision for the 4th of July fireworks celebration because of COVID-19. The location is critical in the bidding process, and we will need council approval to award the bid in the near future. There will be a final decision on the location soon.
