The Zoning Ordinance and all other applicable codes and regulations must be followed. Temporary commercial uses are only allowed in B-1, B-2, and B-4 zones, unless otherwise specified. Sites and uses must be inspected before occupancy. Unless permanent restroom facilities are available on premises, temporary restroom facilities must be provided. Parking must be available and provided for the use. This application is not a business license application. Prior to conducting any business in the City of Prattville, a business license must be issued by the Finance Department. The following temporary uses may be permitted: Carnival or circus, Christmas tree sales, contractor’s office, events of public interest, public fundraising events, real estate sales office, tent assembly, seasonal sale of farm produce. The site must be cleared of debris by the expiration of the permit. Any temporary structures must be removed within seven days of the expiration of the permit. A cash bond must be posted with the City in an amount adequate to ensure that the site is cleared of all debris during and after the close of the temporary use. Instead of a bond, the applicant may present a signed contract with a waste disposal company. The Planning & Development Department will review your application. Depending on the requested use, a site plan and/or additional information may be required.
